Here it is...my first post. Let me just tell you why I created this blog. Simply stated, I have recently been feeling the need to write. I am studying to become a pastor/preacher/teacher. I need to know how to communicate effectively. I also like to play music on my guitar and write songs. The problem is that I hit dry spells that last for years. A lot of people have recommended keeping a journal where I can write prayers, concerns, thoughts, ideas down. Well, I felt like that was a good idea but I want to be critiqued and so I will be putting my thoughts under the scope of the public eye. Naturally, I won't necessarily be posting prayers...I don't want to come off as Pharisaical but, I will be trying to jot down some thoughts and ideas.
Also, I want to use this as a place to get creative with my writing. Whether studying Scripture, writing a poem for Hannah (my future wife!), or just writing a poem or song for fun, I think it would be neat to hear what anyone has to say. I'll do my best to network this out so that people will follow me. If I don't network, I won't be critiqued by the public. If I don't get critiqued by the public, I might as well just keep a personal, paper journal. So here it is...My declaration to the world. I have been created with creativity from the Great Creator, The Lord God. To His name be all glory and honor and praise.
